Christmas memory!! :)

My favortive Christmas memory was when I was seven years old, and all my family was together. My cousion finally got to come home for a vist from the war. We all got together at my Grandma's house the day he came in.We ate Christmas dinner and exchanged gifts then all the adults sat around talking to Nathan.     Another thing I remember is I got a new Scooby-Doo lunch box that Christmas. I loved Scooby-Doo. Almost all of the gifts I got that year were Scooby-Doo. I got a mathcing Scooby-Doo blanket and pilliow from my cousion, he had bought it before he came home. I still have my favortive blanket and pillow.
I think the reason it was my favoritve Christmas is because my brother finally got to come home from a visit. We got other great news that Christmas, he was having a baby and he was getting sent home for good within the next 6-8 months. It was the best Christmas I've ever had.

Beyonce Knowles.

Beyonce is a very inspiring person, not only is she a successful woman but she's also a very smart girl. She has always kept her head on straight and never let anything or anyone get to her. No matter what people have said about her, she has never fought back or said hurtful things.
Unlike other girls in the singing/acting perfession, she's been with the same guy for 10 years. She is now married to the guy she has been with. She's also having a child with him.
Beyonce doesn't cuss much either, she is a good person to look up too. From all of her work she's done, she seems like the best person you could look up too anymore.

Technology and Parents.

When it comes to the Internet, my parents aren't very protective. My mom doesn't really watch what I do while I am on Facebook or Twitter. She doesn't seem to care really. She does have a Facebook though and once in a while she does check up on my Facebook to see who I'm talking too. She does ask questions about things, but for the most part she trust me enough to let me do things.
When I have kids, I'll more than likely check their Facebook or Twitter, or whatever site they are on. Just to make sure my kids are safe and not doing anything they shouldn't be. I won't have a history check on my child's until they give me a reason to be believe them. Once they lie to me about something, I will watch them more careful.

Is the U.S. winning or losing the battle against terrorism?

I believe ths U.S is losing the battle against terrorism, beacuse America's government is slowly being bankrupted. Terrorist are slowly starting to out-think us as well.
We are also not winning because we are too worried about killing the terrorist, for example, Osama bin Laden. When we kill someone, they only get more mad. They start thinking of new ways to beat us.
We are also spending a lot of money on this problem, and we should really be spending money on this to stop it from happening. We need to worry about keeping everyone safe.

The price of young life in Afghanistan.

Two teenagers in Afghanistan were sitting in a car together, when a mob pulled the young couple out of the car and started beating them. In Afghanistan, it has been a tradition for 1,00 of years for the father to sell his daughter for marriage. People are not allowed to pick who they want to get married too. The father of the son pays the girls father, and they get married. They boy and girl have no input on their marriage, which is very wrong and unfair to the couple getting married.
I believe people should be able to pick who they marry. It shouldn't be left up to the father's to decide, and young girls shouldn't be selled as propety. The young couple that were pulled out of the car should not be facing any jail time and shouldn't be sitting in jail for just being together. They should have been left alone, and the younger cousin shouldn't have been hit by the people in the mob.
The Afghanistan law should change and let people who they want to marry. Even if letting their father's pick the girl/boy their child marrys has been their tradition, it's unfair to the people getting married. The boy or girl might not want to stay with this person, and they also don't know much about their soon to be husband/wife. The Afghanistan tradition needs to change for the better.

Corporal punishment

Corporal punishment has became a problem recently, but mostly in the south. I think that ALL corporal punishment should be baned from all states and school, because it's not the teachers place to punish the children while they are at school. It's also not the principals place to give anyone a swat with a paddle.
Another problem with corporal punishment is school is a place for learning new things, not being smacked by a paddle for doing something wrong. If a child is to skip something or do something wrong, their parents should be called. The punishment should be left to to the child's parents, not the school system.
Corporal punishment is also a very harsh way to punish any child. There are many dangers of corporal punishment. You could be hit too hard by the paddle and be left with welts on your leg from being hit so hard. The person who is giving out the swats could also get out of control when they go to swat the kid.
Corporal punishment is a very awful thing, and should be illegal in every state. If a child is really doing something bad, the schools should think of a new way to punish the child. Being with a paddle is too much for any kid, and it's also very wrong to do.
